In keeping with long-standing blade-making customs, the Sakai Takayuki Kokushin VG10 Damascus Nakiri knife is made by hand. The blade is 16 cm long and has a VG10 steel core, which is known for its exceptional corrosion resistance and edge retention. The hard, brittle core is shielded by 33 layers of Damascus steel sheathing, which also reduces friction and food adhering. The spine is only 2 mm thick, and the blade is 44.5 mm long. The Sakai Takayuki Kokushin VG10 Damascus Nakiri is lightweight and comfortable, weighing just 158 g, so you can chop vegetables and herbs nonstop. This lovely knife has a distinct personality thanks to the hand-painted hexagonal oak handle.
