Kenshiro Hatono, a master craftsman, makes this Damascus chef's knife by hand.  The 210 mm blade has Damascus steel facings with a lovely design and an SPG2 steel core.  Wenge wood is used for the Japanese wa-type handle, while walnut is used for the bolster.  The gyuto chef's knife made by Kenshiro Hatono is not dishwasher safe.  After using the knife, give it a thorough hand wash and pat dry.  To preserve and stop corrosion, we advise applying camellia oil and sharpening Japanese kitchen knives on a water stone.  Avoid using it on frozen or very hard foods.  comes in a box that is branded.
