A traditional Japanese knife, the nakai knife is most frequently used for slicing, dicing, mincing, and chopping vegetables. It has a straight, symmetrical flat edge blade design. Maker of knives Kenshiro Hatono is a talented man. He is employed at Takefu Knife Village at the moment. This handmade Japanese knife is not intended for cutting, striking, or chopping frozen food or bones. The blade may fracture or chip. Wash by hand in warm water, then pat dry.
