Takumi Ikeda

Ikeda-san, who was born in 1986, has been studying under Anryu-san in the legendary Takefu Knife Village since 2007. Anryu-san gave his nephew Ikeda-san the throne at Anryu-hamono in January 2021. Ikeda-san, who has been forging most Anryu knives for years, is now leading the business into the future. Ikeda-san, having learned from his master Anryu-san, employs a coke fire, and he enjoys creating blades reminiscent of Damascus steel. For blacksmiths, it's an entertaining method to showcase their skills.
