The blade of the Ittetsu Hokiyama Hamono Bunka knife measures 170 mm. The core of the blade is composed of Ginsan (Silver Steel), which blends the usefulness of stainless steel with the edge of carbon steel. The blade's surface is rough and matte, with a characteristic Nashiji coating. The natural walnut wa handle is comfortable to hold. The Bunka is a type of Japanese kitchen knife that has a distinctively sharp, bevelled tip and a wide, relatively short blade. Similar in function to the Santoku, but with a sharper tip for more accurate cutting, it is a multipurpose knife for slicing meat, fish, and vegetables. There is no dishwasher safety for the Ittetsu Hokiyama Hamono Bunka knife.
