Takeshi Saji's Japanese chef's knife can be used for a variety of culinary chores, such as slicing meat and fish or preparing vegetables and herbs. The 18 cm blade has a VG10 core and is made of multi-layer steel. Each knife is different because of the multi-layer structure that produces a distinctive surface pattern during the forging and subsequent heat treatment. The handle is made with high-quality brass fittings and buffalo bone scales. The knife, which weighs about 280 grams, helps maintain accuracy and offers stability during cutting. This chef's knife, made entirely by hand by famous Japanese blacksmith Takeshi Saji, is a practical and unique present.
